Description

Black Tea Assam Gentleman 100g Bio-Flavo

Assam Gentleman tea is a high-quality product, i.e. FTGFOP (Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe), i.e. it consists of excellent dried material, in which the first leaves and final buds predominate shoots. These leaves are young and soft. This tea gives strong, full infusions with an intense aroma.

Assam Gentleman black tea is obtained by collecting leaves from the Camellia sinensis var. assamica and subjecting them to a strong oxidation process. Compared to green tea, the black one has less catechins, because in the oxidation process, theaflavins and thearubigins are formed from them, which give the infusions a brown color.

Health benefits of Assam Gentleman black tea

Black tea is rich in nutrients. The essential role is played by purine alkaloids, such as theine, which has a stimulating effect, or theobromine, which is a type of caffeine. They increase the metabolic rate, improve concentration, reflexes, reduce drowsiness, and put you in a good mood. Black tea also prevents tooth decay (fluoride), heart disease, atherosclerosis, and the development of glaucoma. It has been found to have anti-cancer (e.g. in relation to colorectal cancer) and anti-inflammatory effects. When you consume several cups a day, you can increase bone mineral density.

Substances in black tea

  • purine alkaloids (theine and theobromine being a form of caffeine)
  • amino acids (e.g. L-theanine)
  • lipids
  • some vitamins like C, A, E, K, B group
  • minerals such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, aluminum, manganese, iron, selenium, fluorine
  • phenolic compounds (flavonoids, phenolic acids) are especially important, including catechins, which are strong antioxidants.

Flavonols, phenolic acids and their effects

Among phenolic acids, phenylcarboxylic acids predominate, especially gallic with antioxidant properties.

The flavonoids found in tea are;

a. Flavanols, which are much less than in green:

- catechins, e.g. epicatechins, epicatechin gallate, but the strongest antioxidant is epigallocatechin gallate - they reduce LDL cholesterol, have antimutagenic properties, lower blood pressure, help in fight obesity, prevent cardiovascular diseases, support the fight against diabetes, accelerate fat burning,

b. Flavonols:

- kaempferol with diastolic, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-fungal properties

- quercetin  with anti-inflammatory, anti-atherosclerotic, anti-thrombotic, anti-allergic properties

- myricetin with anticancer and antiatherosclerotic properties

Tea in the kitchen and more

Assam Gentleman black tea according to Western (European) methods is poured with boiling water (95-100 degrees C) and brewed for 3-5 minutes at a dose of about 1g of dried material per 100 ml water. And it usually only mates once. On the other hand, in the Far East mating is very short, about half a minute, but several times and each time longer by about 10 seconds. But the doses of dried herbs are much higher because they oscillate around 3-5g for a similar amount of water. Black tea stimulates, refreshes and puts you in a good mood. It is suitable for compresses that soothe sunburn, perfectly regenerates the skin, reduces puffiness around the eyes.

In India, a drink called Masala chai is very popular, the preparation of which can be found below.
