Milk Oolong Premium Tea 50g Bio-Flavo
Milk Oolong Premium Tea is made in Anxi, Fujian Province. It is obtained by wilting and then shaking the leaves in rolling machines (formerly in baskets by hand), which leads to the violation of the structure of the leaves. These leaves undergo an oxidation process all the time after harvesting, which is interrupted by heating them at high temperature. They are then shaped (rolled tightly into little balls) and dried again. Oxidation is not too high, because the green color of the leaves is still preserved and the infusions are bright. Milk Oolong teas (i.e. Nai Xiang) have a specific fruity and floral aroma. We will find in them more valuable polyphenols, enzymes and vitamins than in black teas.
Chemical ingredients present in Red Milk Oolong Premium
Milk Oolong red teas contain many biologically active compounds, such as secondary metabolites, i.e. alkaloids, polyphenols, minerals such as calcium, magnesium, iron, selenium, manganese, fluorine, vitamin E or group B. The content of theine (a purine alkaloid, a form of caffeine ) in combination with the presence of tannins helps to burn fats faster. Theine absorbed in the intestines has a stimulating effect, although less than coffee already absorbed in the stomach.
Valuable polyphenols in Milk Oolong Premium tea and their health properties
We find here some phenylcarboxylic acids, such as gallic, with antioxidant properties.
There are also some flavonols, such as:
- kaempferol with anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, diastolic properties
- quercetin with antiatherosclerotic and antithrombotic properties
- myricetin showing anticancer activity.
But the largest group are flavanols, especially catechins, of which epigallocatechin gallate is the most numerous. These compounds have a very strong antioxidant effect. They also have antiviral, antibacterial, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, anti-atherosclerotic and anti-mutagenic properties. It was also found that they lower LDL cholesterol, lower blood pressure, support faster metabolism, promoting weight loss.
How to make Milk Oolong Premium Tea
Milk Oolong Premium tea is brewed in the "Western way" in water at a temperature of 80-90 ° C for 3-4 minutes, using about 1g of dried material per 100 ml of water. It can be brewed 2-3 times. In the Far East, first the leaves are "waked up" (soaked briefly in boiling water for 30 seconds, which quickly pours out) and then they are poured with water as above for about ten seconds longer than the "waking up" lasted. You can brew several times (even 5-6), but 3-5 g of leaves per 100 ml of water is used. The first and shorter brewing gives a stimulating, refreshing tea, and the next ones have a calming and relaxing effect.
