Properties of the ingredients of Collagen ANTI-AGE + hyaluron + vitamin C
1. Collagen is the main component of connective tissue, the main structural protein of the human body. Collagen has the form of a superhelix, i.e. polypeptide fibers made of three chains of amino acids (mainly glycine, proline and hydroxyproline).
- Collagen fibers combined with elastin fibers are responsible for skin firmness and elasticity
- Collagen is very resistant to stretching
- It is also found in the connective tissue of bones and in the cartilage of joints
- It is necessary for the proper functioning of the body as a priceless building component
- Collagen is found in many tissues and organs of the body where its structure varies depending on where it occurs
- Currently, there are as many as 29 types of collagen. The best known is type I collagen, which is found in the skin and subcutaneous tissue, tendons, bones, arteries and cornea, as well as in scarring tissue
- Type II collagen, which is found in cartilage, is also well understood
- Other types of collagen are found in skeletal muscle, brain, internal organs, umbilical cord, and many others
- Collagen provides elasticity, hardness, stiffness and elasticity of tissues in which it binds water, participates in the blood coagulation process in healing wounds, fusion of broken bones (tissue regeneration)
- Collagen facilitates the absorption of bone-building minerals (calcium, phosphorus and magnesium)
- Over time, a person creates less and less collagen in the body, and after the age of sixty, none at all. Therefore, with age, it should be supplemented if you do not eat enough vegetable proteins (preferably soy, chickpeas, lentils) or animal proteins (preferably fish, gelatin, light poultry meat)
2. Hyaluronic acid that that are naturally present in the human body in the form of sodium hyaluronate, that give elasticity and elasticity to the intercellular substance and the skin, is an excellent "lubricant" for joints, affects the proper functioning of the vocal cords, accelerates wound healing, has bacteriostatic properties, has anti-inflammatory properties (but the one with large particles). There are several types of hyaluronic acid:
- high molecular weight with a molecular weight between 1000 and 1400 kDa (kilodaltons), which has the ability to remain on the skin, creating a barrier protecting it against water evaporation
- medium molecular weight with a molecular weight between 100 and 300 kDa, which, among others, intensively moisturizes the outermost layer of the epidermis
- low molecular weight with a molecular weight between 5 and 20 kDa (kilodaltons), which has the ability to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin, moisturizing it
3. Vitamin C has a wide spectrum of activity such as:
- supports the production of collagen and thus the proper development of connective tissue
- helps your joints work well
- strengthens and seals blood vessel walls
- regulates blood pressure
- supports the work of the circulatory system, increases the production of erythrocytes
- conducive to iron absorption
